Welcome to drethan.ai.
As known, most training in medical aesthetics teaches you to follow a protocol. We teach you to interrogate one.
DrEthan AI Aesthetics was founded by Wen Hsien Huang, MD, a medical aesthetics practitioner and medical device inventor who holds thread-lift instrument patents across Japan, Germany, the European Union, mainland China and Taiwan. The mechanics taught in our courses are not borrowed from a manufacturer’s brochure — they are the mechanics he designed, tested and patented. That is an unusual position from which to teach, and it shapes everything on this site.
Why this programme exists
To help licensed clinicians master thread lifting with AI as a copilot — not as a replacement. We teach the highest result for the least intervention: minimal pain, short recovery, and a result that reads as rested rather than treated. Quiet luxury, not announcement. We teach an outcome where both sides win — a fair margin and a reputation for the clinic, safe and affordable young beauty for the patient.
These principles hold in Western and Eastern aesthetic medicine alike, and extend into Eastern anti-ageing practice. And we teach the skill that matters most in an AI-assisted era: knowing when to follow the copilot, and when to overrule it.
We do two things.
We run four courses for licensed clinicians, taking you from facial thread lifting through body contouring, the economics of an AI-enabled practice, and finally a small-cohort hands-on intensive. Each one is built around the same eight-station clinical copilot loop — consultation, aesthetic assessment, planning, vector design, documentation, complication review, patient communication, longitudinal follow-up — with artificial intelligence integrated at every station rather than bolted onto the front desk.
We also make two laboratory instruments: a precision anodised aluminium tactile calibrator, produced as a limited release, and a polymer resin simulation unit for everyday laboratory repetition. Both reproduce the patented cog geometry taught in the courses. Both are in vitro training aids and are never used on patients.
What makes us different is not that we teach AI. It is that we teach you to overrule it.
Artificial intelligence in aesthetic medicine currently rests on an immature evidence base, trains disproportionately on Northern European facial morphology, and is at its most confident precisely where it is least reliable. Most courses acknowledge this in a disclaimer. We built a module around it. In the AI Safety and Override Lab, clinicians learn a three-tier framework — trust, verify, override — and are tested on AI outputs designed to be wrong in ways that survive a casual read. By 2026, knowing when to reject a model’s recommendation is a clinical skill. We treat it as one.
Who this is for. Physicians, dentists, physician associates, nurse practitioners and registered nurses holding an active licence. Enrolment requires verification. Nothing we teach expands your scope of practice, and nothing we sell holds clinical or implantation status.
We would rather train fifty clinicians who can argue with their tools than five hundred who cannot.

01
Patented Mechanics
The thread mechanics we teach are not adapted from a manufacturer’s brochure. They are the mechanics our founding faculty designed, tested and patented across five jurisdictions.
02
The Eight-Station Loop
Consultation, aesthetic assessment, planning, vector design, documentation, complication review, patient communication, follow-up. AI enters at every station — not just at the front desk.
03
Trust, Verify, Override
Every AI output falls into one of three categories, and confusing them is where patients get hurt. We teach clinicians to sort them, and to document the override.
04
Small Cohorts, Real Hands
The intensive is capped so that every participant completes a full supervised treatment cycle. Watching someone else complete one is not training.
05
Instruments, Not Merchandise
Two laboratory instruments reproduce the patented geometry taught in the courses — one machined in anodised aluminium as a permanent reference, one printed in resin for daily repetition.
06
Honest Limits
Enrolment requires a verified clinical licence. Nothing we teach expands your scope of practice, and nothing we sell holds clinical or implantation status. We state this plainly.
